Switching lottery providers without the disruption
Changing lottery providers is a significant decision for any charity and can feel complex, time-consuming and disruptive.
St Columba's Hospice Care has been running a successful charity lottery since 1998. When their previous provider was no longer the right fit for their growing needs, the team looked for a partner that could support both their current requirements and future ambitions.
I was very impressed with both Joe and Becky keeping to time, chasing for information, feeding back and keeping us on track. I think that's probably why it was such a successful and smooth transition.

Planning and managing the migration
The migration was supported by a detailed project plan, with weekly meetings, clearly defined actions and regular progress updates to ensure a structured transition.
The ZenterPrize team coordinated the project throughout, involving the relevant team members at each stage and ensuring St Columba’s Hospice Care had clear visibility of progress.
A partnership focused on future growth
The relationship has continued beyond the migration itself.
St Columba's Hospice Care has gone on to pilot the acquisition of 1,000 new lottery member, creating the evidence needed to support future investment and expansion.
By bringing together the expertise of ZenterPrize and BriteVox, St Columba’s Hospice Care was able to successfully migrate its lottery and build a strong foundation for future growth.

Helping The Jordan Legacy build sustainable income to support suicide prevention
We partnered with The Jordan Legacy to launch a charity lottery, creating an additional fundraising stream to help support its suicide prevention work.
"At first, I had reservations, given the link between gambling and mental health. But what reassured me was the people. Joe and the ZenterPrize team took the time to explain how charity lotteries differ, and how they could work safely and effectively for us. It was their approach: transparent, professional, and caring, that convinced me." - Steve Phillip, Founder of The Jordan Legacy

How important are fundraising streams like lotteries for small charities?
“They’re massive. They’re our lifeblood. Without donated funds coming in - however they arrive - we can’t survive. Grants and government money are limited, and applying takes time. Initiatives like lotteries keep us going.”
Why partner with ZenterPrize UK?

What has been the most valuable outcome so far?
“We’re still small, but the lottery gives us flexibility. Some people might donate directly, others book me to speak, and some prefer to play the lottery — it all adds up. Having a lottery also gives us credibility. It signals that we’re organised, sustainable, and serious about funding our mission.”
At ZenterPrize UK, we’re proud to support organisations like The Jordan Legacy, helping them build sustainable income and focus on what matters most: saving lives.
